About

Coach Adam Jakopin is the owner and lead instructor of Team First Hockey Development, Adam brings an extensive AAA and AA coaching experience & currently serving as the Head Coach of the U12 Mississauga Jets AA team. Adam has a proven track record of developing elite and professional athletes, dedicated to taking players' games to the next level. With a heavy specialization in defence specific development, Coach Adam focuses on mastering critical blueline mechanics including explosive backwards edge work, mobility walking the line, wall pickups, and high-IQ puck management under pressure. Beyond technical execution, Coach Adam connects with players to motivate, mentor, and inspire them to achieve higher standards both in the game and in life outside the rink. Built on a holistic development philosophy that integrates mindset, leadership, and on-ice mechanics, his sessions are intentionally structured to challenge players while fostering confidence and a lasting passion for hockey.
